Spicy Peanut Dressing
The key to a great tasting peanut sauce is balance, I use hoisin for sweetness, sriracha for heat and lime for tartness. You can play with the ratios to suit your taste buds but this is my go to recipe. Refrigerate unused portion and it will keep for two weeks but it won’t last that long. I find myself standing in the refrigerator around midnight shoveling it in my face with baby carrots.
½ Cup Natural Peanut Butter
½ Cup Warm Water
2 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
¼ Cup Rice Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Sriracha
Juice of a Lime (about 2 Tbsp.)
2 Tbsp. Grated Fresh Ginger
2 Whole Cloves Garlic, Minced
½ tsp Salt
½ Cup Canola Oil
- In blender or medium size bowl add peanut butter and water, blend or mix until smooth.
- Add hoisin, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sriracha, lime juice, ginger, garlic and salt, blend or mix until combined. Pour in canola oil while blending or mixing. Check for seasoning. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Garnish with chopped peanut and scallions for the perfect dip!
TIP-Water is your best friend when making peanut dressing! You may need to add a little more water if dressing is too thick.
